Dear Parents,
It is hard to believe that January is almost over! We thoroughly enjoyed our theme with fairy tales and fables these past four weeks. This week we read stories about fables that taught us a lesson, such as the Lion and the Mouse, and the Tortoise and the Hare. We are getting really good at identifying the characters in a story!
Our next theme is one of Pre-K's favorites: "I Build! I Create!" Our first week we are learning about terms that describe colors, shapes, sizes, and positions. These are words that people use often when they are constructing, building, or creating something. As always, we plan on lots of building and creating in centers!
February is the shortest month, but always seems to be very busy!! Here are some future dates to be aware of:
February 14: Exchange Valentine's with Friends (list to be sent home soon)
February 19: President's Day - No School
February 20: Teacher Workday - No School
Stay dry this weekend,
Traci
