Dear Parents,
We had a great week learning about "mysterious movers", such as wind, water, and gravitational forces! In math, we have been using graphs to analyze data and ordering objects by length and size. Our next theme in Pre-K is animals! We will be exploring farm animals, zoo animals, and insects. Our class caterpillars are already entering the chrysalis phase, so we are hoping the butterflies will hold out for our week about insects!
New Prospect has started our Boosterthon Fun Run! The goal is to raise enough money to build a picnic pavilion near our playscape for outdoor activities. A flyer about how to register was included in your child's take-home folder.
Next week is a busy week so look below for the details.
Tuesday, March 26 - Field Trip to the Botanical Gardens
Please have your child wear comfortable clothing and shoes for walking. If it is sunny, please put sunscreen on your child before coming to school. If it is cloudy or rainy, please try to have your child wear a water-resistant jacket. We will leave around 9:00AM and arrive back at school around 1:00PM. We have 7 students in our class, and we have 4 teachers as chaperones. It's going to be so much fun! I will send an email when we leave the school and when we arrive back so you will know where we are.
Friday, March 29 - Boosterthon Fun Run
Please have your child wear our house shirt (or a red shirt) and tennis shoes to school. Our class will run from 9:30-10:15AM with kindergarten and first grade. Parents are welcome to come watch and cheer the students on! It's always a lot of fun and the students love it!
Only five more days until spring break! No school April 1 - 5! As always, please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
Have a fantastic weekend,
Traci
