Dear Parents,
We had a fantastic week back at school after spring break! Typically, it takes a while to fall back into the routine, but your children were ready to be back and eager to learn!
We continued our theme with animals by learning about zoo animals. We know that zoo animals are different than farm animals because they are wild and farm animals are domestic. Zoo animals are kept in zoos to help us learn about them and keep them safe if they are injured or their species is endangered. We also have been talking about living and nonliving things. We know that plants and animals are living things, and they have life cycles. Living things give us food.
On that note, we had the most amazing day exploring the Atlanta Botanical Gardens today! There are many pictures in the Class Photo section.
We will continue to discuss living and nonliving things with further exploration on plants and will introduce the interesting world of insects. In math, we have been working on Numbers and Operations. This is the introduction to addition and subtraction! I am so proud of our hard work! We will have a Spring Showcase April 25th to show you what we have been working on in class. We hope you can come!
A special thank you to Eesa for sharing his Ramadan celebration with us with goodie bags yesterday!
Have an amazing weekend,
Traci
